This site deals with Web programming with HTML, PHP, CSS and Javascript.

Hi! I'm Georges from Quebec, an important french-speaking community in North America. Here, I speak about all sort of stuff but mainly about programming, both desktop with Delphi and Web with HTML, PHP and Javascript. There's also other stuff.

About three months ago, I have rebuilt this site completely: it used to be bilingual and it's now unilingual english. There is also a big difference in the "look" and structure since I tried to be as compliant as I could with HTML5.

Web programming

When I initiated this Web site some years ago, I was a Web illiterate. I think that I have made progress and I put some notes. As a matter of fact, this Web site consists of several pages wrapped in a PHP shell. Design and content are clearly separated using cascading style sheets so that articles are written in a standard HTML environment. The shell takes care of presentation and formatting.

Web programming page This part of my Web site is dedicated to articles and notes dealing with Web programming in general.

Delphi programming

This part of my Web site deals with desktop programming with Delphi. I have done some work on automation,  COM Addins and on component development. About two years ago, I gave up Delphi to do Web programming.

My Delphi pages This part of my Web site is dedicated to articles dealing with Delphi, a programming environment that I have used since I purchased Delphi 3 in 1998. Since then, I have used Delphi 4, Delphi 5, Delphi 6 and Delphi 2009, the environment that I am still using and love to use.

Collectibles

I have a collection of ancient records dating between 1900 and 1925. I have made a list of them and I have tried to document each label and each artist performing on them. In addition, I have an old Hammond typewriter that is worth examining.

My old Hammond typewriter: an "antique" or simply an "old machine" When my father died in 1958, I inherited an old Hammond typewriter which I have kept very carefully since. I don't really know when and how he got it but it is still in good shape. Recently, I have decided to document it and try to find if it had any value on the market of collectibles.
My 1900-1925 Record Collection When my father died in 1958, I inherited 24 albums containing records dating between 1900 and 1920 which I have kept very carefully since. I don't really know when and how he got them but the records are still in good shape. Recently, though I am not a collectionner, I decided to document their period and try to find if they had any value on the market of collectibles.
